COCKTAIL WIENERS

Cocktail Wieners image

A sweet and savory treat for any get-together that will sure be a crowd pleaser. It's cheap and easy to make in a slow cooker with only three ingredients. I make this for any get-together and it is always a hit! I was a little unsure at first about the grape jelly concoction, but I tried it and have never done it any other way. It is so savory with just enough sweet. I always receive or over hear lots of agreement with the taste of the sauce. It always disappears at parties, and the next day I have cravings for these cocktail wienies. Try it for your next potluck, back yard BBQ, or any event!

  • Use high-quality cocktail sausages for the best flavor.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan when cooking the sausages. They should be in a single layer so that they can brown evenly.
  • Cook the sausages over medium heat so that they have time to cook through without burning.
  • The brown sugar glaze is what makes these sausages so sweet and sticky. Be sure to let it caramelize before adding the sausages to the pan.
  • If you don't have brown sugar, you can use granulated sugar or honey instead. However, the brown sugar will give the sausages a richer flavor.
  • Serve the sausages immediately after cooking, while they are still hot and juicy.

Conclusion:

These sweet and spicy cocktail sausages are the perfect appetizer for any party or gathering. They are easy to make and always a hit with guests. The sweet and sticky glaze is the perfect complement to the savory sausages. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy appetizer, give these cocktail sausages a try.
