28 ounces sauerkraut, drained
1 large onion, chopped
4 medium potatoes, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
1/2 cup diced carrot
1 1/2 cups chopped green bell peppers
2 minced garlic cloves
1 lb low-fat turkey kielbasa (can use ham instead) or 1 lb low-fat turkey kielbasa, cut into 1-inch slices (can use ham instead)
1 medium tart apple, diced
2 (8 ounce) cans crushed pineapple, undrained
1 1/2-2 cups chicken broth, depending how liquidy you like it
1/2 cup white wine
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon caraway seed
salt, if needed, to taste
