Time 30m

Yield 3

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 egg
1 pinch salt

Steps:

  • In a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, egg and salt.
  • Heat a large frying pan or wok over medium high heat. When the pan is hot add a teaspoon of butter and lightly coat the surface of the pan with the melted butter.
  • Pour one quarter cup of the batter into the pan and tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface in a smooth and even layer.
  • After two minutes, lift up an edge of the crepe with a spatula to see if it is browning. When the underside has begun to brown, flip the crepe and cook the other side until it is also brown; about 2 minutes.
  • Repeat steps 3 and 4 to cook the remaining crepes. Serve hot.

Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all of your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and ensure that you don't miss anything.
  • Use a good quality non-stick pan: This will help you prevent the crepes from sticking and make it easier to flip them.
  • Heat the pan over medium heat: If the pan is too hot, the crepes will cook too quickly and may burn. If the pan is too cold, the crepes will not cook evenly.
  • Pour a thin layer of batter into the pan: The batter should be just thick enough to coat the bottom of the pan. If the batter is too thick, the crepes will be too thick and doughy.
  • Cook the crepes for 1-2 minutes per side: The crepes should be cooked until they are golden brown and slightly crispy around the edges.
  • Serve the crepes immediately: Crepes are best served warm. You can fill them with your favorite fillings, such as fruit, cheese, or ham.

Conclusion:

Sunshine Breakfast Crepes are a delicious and versatile breakfast option that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are easy to make and can be customized with a variety of fillings and toppings. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy weekday breakfast or a special brunch recipe, Sunshine Breakfast Crepes are sure to please.
