1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped

Tips:

  • Choose fresh, ripe cherries: The quality of your cherries will greatly impact the final product, so make sure to select firm, plump cherries with deep red color.
  • Pit the cherries carefully: Use a cherry pitter or a small paring knife to remove the pits from the cherries without damaging the fruit.
  • Use high-quality chocolate: The chocolate coating is a key component of these stuffed cherries, so it's important to use a good quality chocolate that you enjoy the taste of.
  • Temper the chocolate: Tempering the chocolate will help it set properly and give it a smooth, glossy finish. If you're not familiar with tempering chocolate, there are many resources available online that can help you learn how to do it.
  • Be patient: Dipping the cherries in chocolate can be a time-consuming process, but it's important to be patient and take your time. If you rush the process, the chocolate is more likely to set unevenly or drip off the cherries.

Conclusion:

Stuffed cherries dipped in chocolate are a delicious and elegant treat that is perfect for any occasion. With a little planning and effort, you can easily make these treats at home. Just be sure to follow the tips above to ensure that your cherries turn out perfectly.
