HOMEMADE VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP

Homemade Vegetable Beef Soup image

My mom made this soup when I was young. I have always loved her soups. When I was able to start cooking by myself I fell in love and have added and taken items away, but my fiance love my soups. And he isn't even big on soups. I hope your family enjoys the soup as much as mine does.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of vegetables. This will give your soup a more complex and flavorful taste. Some good options include carrots, celery, onions, potatoes, and tomatoes. You can also add other vegetables, such as green beans, corn, or peas.
  • Brown the beef before adding it to the soup. This will help to develop its flavor and give the soup a richer color.
  • Use a flavorful broth. This will make a big difference in the taste of your soup. You can use beef broth, chicken broth, or vegetable broth. If you don't have any broth on hand, you can use water instead. However, the soup will not be as flavorful.
  • Simmer the soup for at least 30 minutes. This will allow the flavors to meld and develop. The longer you simmer the soup, the better it will taste.
  • Season the soup to taste. Add salt, pepper, and other spices to taste. You can also add a bit of acidity, such as lemon juice or vinegar, to brighten up the flavor.

Conclusion:

This vegetable beef soup is a hearty and flavorful meal that is perfect for a cold winter day. It is also a great way to use up leftover vegetables. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can have a delicious and satisfying soup that the whole family will enjoy.
