Time 1h5m

Yield 4 servings

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup sugar
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup tequila

Neutral oil, for frying
2 pounds whole chicken wings (about 12 wings)
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Combine the sugar, soy sauce, tequila, jalapeños, sliced tangerines and tangerine juice in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil. SPICY TEQUILA SUNRISE CHICKEN WINGS

Spicy Tequila Sunrise Chicken Wings image

This is a recipe that I made up for a bunch of hungry guys that where watching football one afternoon with my husband. They loved them so much that they actually paid more attention to the wings than the game for 15 minutes! For milder sauce use mild chili sauce instead of Thai. Serve with celery and ranch or blue cheese dressing.
