CROCK POT SPICY BLACK BEANS

Crock Pot Spicy Black Beans image

Adapted from Budget Bytes... This is super easy to make and can be spicier with the addition of another jalapeno, maybe some diced green chilies, chili powder, etc. Next time I make it I'm going to throw some bacon in as well :) Can be made with vegetable broth or water instead of chicken broth and be vegetarian.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the dish will taste. Use fresh, ripe mangoes and black beans, and use a good-quality rice.
  • Don't overcook the rice: The rice should be cooked through but still have a little bite to it. If you overcook the rice, it will become mushy and bland.
  • Add the spices gradually: Start with a small amount of spices and add more to taste. This will help you avoid overpowering the dish with spice.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment: There are many different ways to make this dish. Feel free to add or remove ingredients to suit your taste. For example, you could add some chopped cilantro or jalapeno peppers for extra flavor.
