Tips:

  • To ensure a moist and flavorful cake, use good quality Spanish olive oil. Extra virgin olive oil is the best choice, but a regular olive oil can also be used.
  • Use fresh oranges for the zest and juice. The zest of the oranges adds a bright citrus flavor to the cake, while the juice helps to keep it moist.
  • Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can result in a tough, dense cake.
  • Bake the cake in a preheated oven. This helps to ensure that the cake rises evenly.
  • Allow the cake to cool completely before serving. This will help the flavors to develop and the cake to set.

Conclusion:

The Spanish Bar Cake is a delicious and easy-to-make cake that is perfect for any occasion. With its moist texture, citrusy flavor, and crumbly topping, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you are looking for a special dessert, give this Spanish Bar Cake a try.
