An easy and family pleasing casserole that's on the table in less than 45 minutes. I serve this with a guacamole salad, or a green salad with slices of avocado.

Tips:

  • Choose ripe avocados: The riper the avocados, the creamier and more flavorful your guacamole will be. Look for avocados that are dark green or black in color, and yield to gentle pressure when squeezed.
  • Use fresh ingredients: Fresh ingredients will give your guacamole the best flavor. Use fresh lime juice, cilantro, onion, and tomatoes.
  • Don't over-mash the avocados: Guacamole should have a slightly chunky texture. Over-mashing the avocados will make it too smooth and mushy.
  • Season to taste: Add salt, pepper, and cumin to taste. You can also add other seasonings, such as chili powder or cayenne pepper, to taste.
  • Serve immediately: Guacamole is best served immediately after it is made. However, it can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
