2 pounds ground beef
1 1/2 cups soft bread crumbs
2 eggs
3/4 cup water
1/3 cup ketchup

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl, combine all ingredients. In large shallow baking pan, shape into loaf. Bake 1 hour or until done.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of meats. This will give your meatloaf more flavor and texture. Good options include ground beef, pork, veal, and lamb.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf. Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are combined.
  • Season the meatloaf well. Use a variety of spices and herbs to give your meatloaf flavor. Good options include garlic, onion, salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin.
  • Use a moistener. A moistener will help keep the meatloaf moist and juicy. Good options include eggs, milk, and bread crumbs.
  • Bake the meatloaf at a low temperature. This will help prevent the meatloaf from drying out. A good temperature to bake meatloaf is 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing. This will help the meatloaf hold its shape and make it easier to slice.
