Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use a pork shoulder or pork butt roast. These cuts are tough, but they become fall-apart tender when cooked slowly.
  • Season the pork generously with salt and pepper before browning. This will help to develop a flavorful crust.
  • Sear the pork in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned on all sides. This will help to seal in the juices and prevent the pork from drying out.
  • Transfer the pork to a slow cooker and add the remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-6 hours.
  • Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.
  • Serve the pork with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a simple salad.

Conclusion:

This slow-cooker roast pork with fruit is a delicious and easy meal that's perfect for a busy weeknight. The pork is tender and flavorful, and the fruit adds a touch of sweetness and tartness. Serve it with your favorite sides for a complete meal that everyone will enjoy.
