Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef: Chuck roast, bottom round, and top round are all good options for beef tips. These cuts are relatively inexpensive and will become tender when cooked slowly.
  • Brown the beef tips before cooking: This will help to develop flavor and prevent the meat from becoming dry.
  • Use a good quality red wine: The wine will add flavor to the beef and the sauce. Choose a wine that you would enjoy drinking on its own.
  • Don't overcrowd the slow cooker: The beef tips should be in a single layer in the pot. If the pot is too crowded, the beef tips will not cook evenly.
  • Cook the beef tips on low for 8-10 hours: This will allow the meat to become tender and fall apart.
  • Serve the beef tips over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles: The sauce will also be delicious served over vegetables.

Conclusion:

Slow cooker burgundy beef tips are a delicious and easy meal that can be enjoyed by the whole family. The beef tips are tender and flavorful, and the sauce is rich and decadent. This dish is perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. With a little planning, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal on the table with minimal effort.
