1/2 teaspoon salt

3 bottles (12 oz each) beer
Sauerkraut and mustard, if desired

  • In 10-inch nonstick skillet, cook bratwurst over medium-high heat, turning frequently, just until outsides are brown. Place in 5- to 6-quart slow cooker.

8 vegetarian bratwurst

1/4 cup barbecue sauce
1/4 cup regular or nonalcoholic beer
8 hot dog buns, toasted

Steps:

  • Spray 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. In slow cooker, mix beans and chili powder.

2 1/2 lbs bratwursts (10 sausages)
3 cups beer (Budweiser or other light Am. lager recommended)
1/4 cup Dijon mustard, plus extra for serving
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
1 cup sauerkraut
10 hoagie rolls
