NOT SO SLOPPY HOT DOGS
This is a take off of sloppy joes. Not sure about the servings as I only cook for the 2 of us. Any extra I use on hamburger buns or it goes well on hash browns or egg with breakfast. I really find this makes a great hot dog! Enjoy.

SLOPPY DOGS - GROUND BEEF SLOPPY JOES WITH CHEESE IN HOT DOG BUN
From Disney's Magic Kitchen Cookbook. My nine-year-old son picked this for his cooking night. I eat gluten free, so just skip the bun and put the meat over salad greens (like a taco salad) for myself, since I have yet to find a gluten free bun that I like.

Tips:
- Choose the right ground beef: Use lean ground beef (80/20 or 90/10) to avoid greasy sloppy dogs. Ground chuck or ground sirloin are good options.
- Brown the beef thoroughly: Cook the beef over medium-high heat until it's browned and no longer pink. This will help to develop the flavor of the meat.
- Use a flavorful sauce: The sauce is what makes sloppy dogs so delicious. Use a sauce that's packed with flavor, such as a classic tomato-based sauce or a tangy barbecue sauce.
- Don't skimp on the cheese: Cheese is a key ingredient in sloppy dogs. Use a cheese that melts well, such as cheddar, mozzarella, or American cheese.
- Toast the hot dog buns: Toasted hot dog buns are the perfect vessel for sloppy dogs. They're sturdy enough to hold up to the sloppy filling, and they add a bit of extra flavor.
Conclusion:
Sloppy dogs are a classic American comfort food that are perfect for a casual meal. They're easy to make and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give sloppy dogs a try. You won't be disappointed.
