Tips:

  • Mise en place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and prevent any scrambling later on.
  • Use room temperature butter: Softened butter is easier to cream together with sugar and other ingredients, resulting in a smoother batter. If you forget to take the butter out of the fridge ahead of time, you can microwave it on low power for a few seconds, just until it's softened but not melted.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough helps prevent the cookies from spreading too much in the oven. If you're short on time, you can skip this step, but your cookies may not be as firm.
  • Bake the cookies until they are just set: The cookies should be slightly golden brown around the edges and just set in the center. If you overbake them, they will be dry and crumbly.
  • Let the cookies cool completely before frosting: This will help prevent the frosting from melting.

Conclusion:

These Skor Bits Shortbread Slice Cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With their buttery shortbread crust, Skor bits filling, and chocolate drizzle, these cookies are sure to be a hit. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give these cookies a try.
