Time 15m

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips
1/4 cup heavy cream
3 cups mini marshmallows
Graham crackers, broken into squares, for serving

Steps:

  • Place an oven rack in the top position and preheat the oven to 450 degrees F. While the oven heats, put a 10-inch cast-iron or stainless-steel skillet in to heat.
  • Carefully remove the hot skillet and sprinkle the chocolate and butterscotch chips in the bottom. Drizzle the cream over the top and then top with the marshmallows in an even layer. Set the skillet on the top oven rack and bake until the marshmallows are molten and golden on top, 5 to 6 minutes.
  • Serve (carefully, the pan will be very hot) with graham crackers for dipping.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better your s'mores will taste. Look for chocolate with a high cocoa content (at least 70%) and a smooth, creamy texture.
  • Use fresh graham crackers. Stale graham crackers will make your s'mores soggy. Make sure your graham crackers are fresh and crispy before you use them.
  • Don't overcook the marshmallows. You want the marshmallows to be melted and gooey, but not burnt. Cook them for just a few seconds on each side until they are golden brown.
  • Be careful when handling hot s'mores. The melted chocolate and marshmallows can be very hot. Be careful not to burn yourself when you are eating them.
  • Get creative with your s'mores. You can add all sorts of different ingredients to your s'mores, such as nuts, fruit, or candy. Get creative and experiment until you find your favorite combination.

Conclusion:

Skillet s'mores are a delicious and easy treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are perfect for camping trips, backyard parties, or just a cozy night at home. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make skillet s'mores that will satisfy your sweet tooth and leave you wanting more.
