5 medium apples, (about 1-1/4 pounds), peeled and quartered
3 tablespoons brown sugar

  • In a heavy 12-in. cast-iron or other ovenproof skillet, cook sausages over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, about 10 minutes; drain. Add apple wedges. 1 1/2 lbs beef stew meat, cut into 1-in . cubes

1 (1 ounce) envelope onion soup mix

Steps:

  • In a 5-qt. slow cooker, layer potatoes, carrots and beef.

1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce

1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup light corn syrup

1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 cups peeled and sliced carrots
2 cups onions, chopped
1 green bell pepper, cut into 1 inch squares
1 (4-ounce) can pineapple chunk, drained
6 round loaves sourdough bread (optional)

½ cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 (1 pound) loaf unsliced white bread, with crust trimmed
5 eggs
1 ½ cups milk
