SHRIMP AND TURKEY SAUSAGE STIR-FRY

Shrimp and Turkey Sausage Stir-Fry image

It was originally a "random stir-fry" because I simply used what I had in my refrigerator. I also experimented with Worcestershire sauce this time. It's not a traditional ingredient that we would use for stir-fry. I did love the outcome. The combination of onions, bell peppers, turkey sausage and shrimps makes this dish look colorful and go very well with rice. Plus, it is healthy!

Tips:

  • Choose the right shrimp. Use large, fresh shrimp for the best results. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely before cooking.
  • Marinate the shrimp. Marinating the shrimp in a mixture of soy sauce, rice wine, and cornstarch helps to tenderize them and add flavor.
  • Cook the shrimp quickly. Shrimp cooks very quickly, so be careful not to overcook them. Overcooked shrimp will become tough and rubbery.
  • Use a large skillet or wok. A large skillet or wok will help to prevent the shrimp and sausage from overcrowding and sticking to the pan.
  • Stir-fry the shrimp and sausage in batches. If you are cooking a large amount of shrimp and sausage, stir-fry them in batches to prevent overcrowding and ensure that they cook evenly.
  • Add the vegetables last. The vegetables will cook quickly, so add them to the skillet or wok towards the end of the cooking time.
  • Serve the stir-fry immediately. Shrimp and sausage stir-fry is best served immediately, while it is still hot and fresh.

Conclusion:

Shrimp and sausage stir-fry is a quick, easy, and delicious meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover shrimp and sausage. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can have a flavorful and satisfying meal on the table in no time. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy dinner idea, give shrimp and sausage stir-fry a try.
