4 1/2 oz can of deveined shrimp (or fresh shrimp)
1 c sifted all purpose flour
1/4 tsp old bay seasoning
1 pinch dill weed
1 Tbsp curry powder ,or to taste
1/4 tsp salt
1 c dairy sour cream
1 large egg,beaten
1 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 tsp baking soda
vegetable or canola oil for frying

Steps:

  • 1. Drain shrimp; chop up very fine. In medium bowl, combine shrimp,flour, curry powder, old bay seasoning,dill weed, and salt. Gradually stir in 1/2 cup of the sour cream until smooth.
  • 2. Then stir in the beaten egg and fold in the rest of the sour cream and the melted butter. Dissolve the baking soda in 1 1/2 teaspoons of warm water. Stir into flour mixture until well combined. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
  • 3. In a deep skillet or deep fryer, slowly heat oil(at least 2 inches deep) to 380^ on deep fry thermometer. Drop dough a few teaspoonfuls at a time in the hot oil. Deep-fry, turning once, about 3 minutes on each side, or just until golden-brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve warm or cold with coconut or pineapple dip.
  • 4. To Make In The Oven: Pre-heat oven to 375^-to 400^.Drop onto parchment covered baking sheets at least 2 inches apart and bake for 15 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.

1 package (8 ounces) reduced-fat cream cheese
1 can (6 ounces) crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
3/4 cup diced sweet red pepper
1/2 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
2 green onions, thinly sliced
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 flour tortillas (6 inches)

Steps:
