Steps:
- 1. Place scallops, crackers, parsley and garlic powder in bag and shake. Place in glass baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice and pour melted butter on or just dabs of butter on top. Bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven. Don't over-bake so check for doneness at about 20 minutes.
Tips for Perfect Scalloped Scallops:
- Choose fresh, high-quality scallops. Look for plump, opaque scallops with a briny aroma. Avoid any scallops that are slimy or have a strong fishy smell. - Cook the scallops properly. Scallops should be cooked quickly over high heat to prevent them from becoming tough. Pan-sear them for 2-3 minutes per side or bake them at 400°F for 10-12 minutes. - Use a variety of seasonings. Scallops have a mild flavor, so they can be paired with a variety of seasonings. Try using garlic, butter, lemon, herbs, and spices to create a flavorful dish. - Don't overcrowd the pan or baking dish. When cooking scallops, it is important to give them enough space so that they can cook evenly. If you overcrowd the pan, the scallops will steam instead of sear. - Serve the scallops immediately. Scallops are best served immediately after they are cooked. This will ensure that they are juicy and flavorful. Conclusion:
Scalloped scallops are a delicious and versatile seafood dish that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With a little planning and preparation, you can easily create a restaurant-quality scalloped scallop dish at home. So next time you're looking for a special meal to make, give scalloped scallops a try. You won't be disappointed!
