1 cup chicken broth
½ cup lemon juice
½ cup butter, melted
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon English mustard powder
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
1 cup butter, softened
3 sprigs fresh rosemary, leaves stripped and finely chopped
2 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves stripped and chopped
2 small cloves garlic, minced
1 (14 pound) whole turkey, neck and giblets removed
1 tablespoon olive oil, or to taste
1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Stir chicken broth, lemon juice, 1/2 cup melted butter, 1 clove garlic, mustard powder, and ginger together in a bowl. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate marinade for flavors to blend, about 30 minutes.

Tips:

  • Use fresh, high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the flavor of your injection sauce.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment with different herbs and spices. There are many different flavor combinations that can work well in an injection sauce.
  • Be careful not to over-inject your turkey. Too much injection sauce can make the meat dry and tough. A good rule of thumb is to use about 1 cup of injection sauce per 10 pounds of turkey.
  • Let the turkey rest before carving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful turkey.

Conclusion:

With these tips in mind, you can create a delicious and flavorful savory turkey injection sauce that will make your next Thanksgiving dinner a hit. So gather your ingredients, fire up your oven, and get ready to enjoy a delicious and unforgettable turkey dinner.
