Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Yukon Gold or russet potatoes are best for this recipe because they have a high starch content, which makes them fluffy and moist. Avoid using waxy potatoes, such as red potatoes, as they will not produce the same results.
  • Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will result in a tough, dense bread. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Bake the bread in a loaf pan: A loaf pan will help the bread rise evenly and give it a nice shape. If you don't have a loaf pan, you can also bake the bread in a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Let the bread cool completely before slicing: This will help the bread hold its shape and prevent it from crumbling.

Conclusion:

Savory potato quick bread is a delicious and easy-to-make bread that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover potatoes, and it can be served as a side dish, snack, or even a main course. With its simple ingredients and quick preparation time, this bread is sure to become a family favorite.
