Categories     Pasta     Sauté     Quick & Easy     Dinner     Sausage

Yield 6 servings 1¼ cups

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 pkg. Jimmy Dean® Premium Pork Regular
1 cup chopped onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ cup dry white wine or chicken broth
½ pound fettuccine, cooked, drained
2 cups whipping cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 bag (6 ounces) baby spinach leaves (about 8 cups)
Cracked black pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Cook sausage, onion, and garlic in stockpot over MEDIUM-HIGH heat 8-10 minutes or until sausage is thoroughly cooked, stirring frequently; drain. Return sausage mixture to pan. Stir in wine. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to MEDIUM; cook 4-5 minutes or until most of the wine is cooked off. Add pasta, cream and cheese; bring just to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir 4-5 minutes or until cheese is melted and sauce is thickened. Remove from heat. Stir in spinach; cover. Let stand 3 minutes. Season with pepper.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients. Fresh sausage, spinach, and Alfredo sauce will make a big difference in the flavor of the dish.
  • Don't overcook the sausage. It should be cooked through but still juicy.
  • Wilt the spinach before adding it to the pasta. This will help to remove excess moisture.
  • Use a good quality Alfredo sauce. You can make your own or use a store-bought brand that you like.
  • Serve the pasta immediately after it is cooked. This will prevent the pasta from becoming dry or mushy.

Conclusion:

Sausage and spinach Alfredo is a delicious and easy-to-make pasta dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to use up leftover sausage and spinach. With its creamy Alfredo sauce, savory sausage, and fresh spinach, this dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
