Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon. Look for wild-caught, sustainably-sourced salmon that is fresh and has a vibrant color.
  • Make sure the salmon is properly thawed. If the salmon is frozen, thaw it in the refrigerator overnight or under cold water for about 30 minutes.
  • Don't overcook the salmon. Salmon is a delicate fish that cooks quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Cook it until it is just opaque in the center, about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Use fresh herbs. Fresh herbs, such as dill, parsley, and chives, add a lot of flavor to the salmon. If you don't have fresh herbs, you can use dried herbs, but use about half the amount.
  • Don't be afraid to experiment. There are many different ways to marinate salmon, so feel free to experiment with different flavors and ingredients. You can also add other vegetables to the marinade, such as lemon slices, capers, or shallots.

Conclusion:

This salmon marinade with dill butter and lemon is a delicious and easy way to prepare salmon. The marinade infuses the salmon with flavor, while the dill butter and lemon add a bright and refreshing touch. This dish is perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. Serve it with roasted vegetables or a simple salad for a complete meal.
