RUSSIAN PORK CHOPS

This is a quick favorite on busy nights. I tend to keep a bottle of the dressing in the pantry for this recipe so I can just throw together early in the day and pop in the oven when I get home. By the time everyone has settled in dinner is done.

Tips for Making the Best Russian Pork Chops

  • Choose high-quality pork chops. Look for chops that are thick and evenly cut, with a good amount of marbling.
  • Tenderize the pork chops. Use a meat mallet or a fork to tenderize the pork chops before cooking. This will help to break down the connective tissue and make the chops more tender.
  • Season the pork chops well. Use a combination of salt, pepper, and your favorite spices to season the pork chops. Be sure to season both sides of the chops.
  • Cook the pork chops over medium heat. Overcrowding the pan will cause the pork chops to steam instead of sear, resulting in tough, dry meat.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the pork chops are cooked to perfection. The internal temperature of the pork chops should reach 145 degrees Fahrenheit for medium-rare, 155 degrees Fahrenheit for medium, and 165 degrees Fahrenheit for well-done.
  • Let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the chops, resulting in more tender and flavorful meat.

Conclusion

Russian pork chops are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. By following these tips, you can make sure that your pork chops are tender, juicy, and flavorful. Serve the pork chops with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a salad. Enjoy!
