Pour hot dressing over romaine and egg and toss to combine. Add bacon and toss salad, then season with salt and pepper.
Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your salad will taste. Look for romaine lettuce that is crisp and green, ham that is deli-fresh, and eggs that are free-range and organic.
- Boil the eggs to perfection: Hard-boiled eggs are essential for this salad, so make sure you cook them properly. Place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then cover the pan and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs stand in the hot water for 10-12 minutes, depending on how hard you want them to be. Immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath to stop the cooking process.
- Chop the ingredients evenly: This will help ensure that each bite of salad has a bit of everything. If you have a food processor, you can use it to chop the ingredients quickly and easily.
- Use a flavorful dressing: The dressing is what really brings this salad together, so don't skimp on it. Use a mayonnaise-based dressing that is seasoned with mustard, salt, and pepper. You can also add other ingredients to the dressing, such as herbs, spices, or cheese.
- Chill the salad before serving: This will help the flavors to meld and the dressing to thicken. You can chill the salad for up to 2 hours before serving.
Conclusion:
This romaine ham and egg salad is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a light lunch or dinner. It is also a great way to use up leftover ham and eggs. With its fresh ingredients and flavorful dressing, this salad is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
