A friend shared this recipe with me a few days ago. If someone has already posted one like it please excuse. I am adding these to my Christmas basket for my grandkids. I got the gift bags (clear see through) and will fill it with these turtles and tie with a Christmas ribbon. When I saw them I thought of my oldest grandson...

Categories     Chocolate

Number Of Ingredients 3

20 small mini pretzels
20 chocolate covered caramel candies
20 pecan halves

Steps:

  • 1.Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). 2.Arrange the pretzels in a single layer on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Place one chocolate covered caramel candy on each pretzel. 3.Bake for 4 minutes. While the candy is warm, press a pecan half onto each candy covered pretzel. Cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Tips:

- Choose high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. A good semisweet or bittersweet chocolate will work well. - If you don't have Rolo candies, you can use other caramel-filled chocolates, such as Milky Way or Snickers. - You can use any type of pretzels you like, but mini pretzels work best. - If you don't have a baking sheet, you can use a large plate or cutting board. - Make sure the chocolate is completely melted before you dip the pretzels. - Work quickly when dipping the pretzels, as the chocolate will start to harden quickly. - If you want to add extra toppings, such as nuts or sprinkles, do so before the chocolate hardens. - Store the Rolo pretzel turtles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
