Veggie-Topped Swiss Steak image

Long, gentle cooking turns round steak into a tender cut of meat. I like to serve this with mashed potatoes, because the vegetable topping makes an excellent sauce.-LorskyNY, Taste of Home Online Community

I'm not a big fan of Swiss steak, but I decided to give this recipe a try. I'm so glad I did! The Swiss steak was tender and flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. I will definitely be making this dish again.
