Tiger's Blood Snow Cone Syrup image

If you like Hawaiian shaved ice, try making this tropical syrup. It's great over shaved ice for a fair-worthy treat to beat the summertime heat!

Number Of Ingredients 7

3 cups white sugar
hot water as needed
1 tablespoon strawberry extract
2 teaspoons coconut extract
16 drops red food coloring
4 drops yellow food coloring
water as needed

Steps:

  • Place sugar into a quart-sized container. Add enough hot water to dissolve sugar without filling container all the way to the quart mark. Shake well to dissolve sugar. Add strawberry extract, coconut extract, red food coloring, and yellow food coloring. Fill to the quart line with water. Shake well.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour; pour over shaved ice or snow cones.
