Tangerine Chess Pie image

This is a very simple recipe and really good. I got this from my brother who is a fabulous cook. This is really good topped with a dollup of whipped cream or ice cream.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 pie crust
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon yellow cornmeal
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup milk
2 teaspoons grated tangerines, rind
1/3 cup tangerine juice
1 tablespoon lemon juice
4 large eggs

Steps:

  • WHISK sugar and next nine ingredients until smooth.
  • Pour into unbaked pie crust BAKE 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or u ntil center is set.
  • NOTE: Any citrus fruit can be used.
