Taco Squares image

Another wonderful family recipe. Serve with toss salad and re-fried beans.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 1/2 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, minced
2 can(s) (8 oz.) tomato sauce
2 c mexican blend shredded cheese
1 medium green bell pepper, minced
2 pkg taco seasoning
2 pkg refrigerated crescent rolls
lettuce
tomatoes, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Cook together ground beef, green pepper, and onion. Drain.
  • 2. Add taco seasoning, tomato sauce, and 1 cup cheese. Simmer until cheese melts.
  • 3. Roll out one package for crescent rolls in 9x13 pan, bake at 350 until done.
  • 4. Pour in meat mixture, add remaining cup of cheese over top, add second package of crescent rolls over top.
  • 5. Bake at 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. Cut into squares. Serve with chopped tomatoes and lettuce.
