Surprise French Toast image

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese
16 slices (1/2 inch thick) French bread
1 cup milk
4 eggs
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
powdered sugar
syrup

Steps:

  • 1. Spread 1 tablespoon cream cheese on each of 8 bread slices top with second bread slice. Whisk together milk and eggs in large bowl.2. Heat griddle or large skillet over medium heat or to 350°. Melt margarine.3. Dip sandwiches in egg mixture carefully place on griddle. Cook about 8 minutes on a side until golden brown.
