Strawberry Soup a la Kiev image

This is an old family holiday tradition. I guess it is the red color, because strawberries sure aren't in season in December. May be served either hot or cold as a first course or a dessert. We always had it as a first course served hot.

I thought this soup was just okay. It was a bit bland for my taste. I think I would have preferred a more flavorful soup.

I thought this soup was just okay. The flavors were not as pronounced as I expected. I think I would have preferred a more traditional strawberry soup recipe.
