I have had this recipe for many years, but I don't remember where I got it. It is very tasty!

Steps:
- 1. Bring pineapple juice to a boil. Add Jell-O and stir until Jell-O is completely dissolved.
- 2. Cool Jell-O until slightly thickened and add strawberries and chopped nuts. Refrigerate.
- 3. Melt butter in 400°F. oven in 9X13" pan. Mix broken (or crushed) pretzels in melted butter, spread to cover pan bottom, and bake 10 minutes. Cool.
- 4. Mix together cream cheese and powdered sugar. Spread over cooled pretzels.
- 5. Spread Cool Whip over cream cheese layer.
- 6. Top with slightly thickened Jell-O mixture. Refrigerate until fully set.
- 7. May add more Cool Whip over Jell-O layer, if desired.
- 8. Note: Although not included in original recipe, I like to add well drained crushed pineapple and thinly sliced bananas to the strawberries in the Jell-O layer.

[email protected]This was a great recipe! I made it for a party and everyone loved it. The only thing I would change is to use a different type of pretzel. The ones I used were a bit too salty for my taste.

[email protected]I've made this recipe a few times now and it's always a crowd-pleaser. The only thing I do differently is add a little bit of vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture. It really enhances the flavor.
