Spinach Dip in a Bread Basket image

Make sure to squeeze the spinach very dry so the dip isn't watery. Finely chopped spring onions (scallions) are a nice addition if you like them.

1 cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 cups light sour cream
180 g water chestnuts, drained and chopped
40 g sachet onion soup mix
1 (300 g) box frozen spinach, thawed & squeezed dry
1 loaf , break (round)

Steps:

  • Slice a lid off the top of the bread and scoop out the inside. Tear the inside bits into bite sized pieces.
  • Mix together the remaining ingredients and put into the hollowed out bread.
  • Serve on a plate surrounded by the bread pieces for dipping.
