Shrimp Alfredo image

Number Of Ingredients 14

1 pound shrimp
3/4 cup asparagus
6 large mushroom caps
3/4 cup white wine
3 cloves garlic
2 tablespoons butter
3 scallions
1/3 cup butter
1 cup half & half cream
1 1/2 cups grated parmesan
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
1/2 teaspoon white pepper
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
12 ounces angel hair pasta

Steps:

  • Start with sauce: melt 1/3 cup butter add half cup cream let it summer and reduce add cheese, pepper, cayenne and parsley set sauce aside
  • Prepare to sauté vegetables: melt 2 tbsp of butter 2 tbsp olive oil add chopped scallions add chopped mushrooms add asparagus add garlic cloves sauté for five minutes
  • add shrimp add wine, little at a time (might not need all of it) add salt when wine has reduced, add sauce in turn off heat, make sure all liquids blend well add pasta and serve
