Ritz Mock Apple Pie image

This is delicious! Out of apples? no problem, replace with ritz crackers, believe it or not, try it for yourself!

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 cups water
3/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
30 Ritz crackers
9 inches pie shells, unbaked
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup cracker crumb, crushed
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup margarine

Steps:

  • Combine water, sugar and cream of tartar; bring to a boil.
  • Drop in whole crackers and simmer for 5 minute.
  • Pour mixture into pie shell; sprinkle with lemon juice and cinnamon.
  • Combine all ingredients for topping and sprinkle over pie. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minute then reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue baking 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm.
