Yield 8 people

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup Whole Milk Ricotta (Homemade is best or Sargento is pretty good)
1 cup water
1/2 cup honey
1 vanilla bean
1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
1 tsp fresh rosemary, chopped
baguette, Italian, French, ciabatta or other delicious bread for making toast

Steps:

  • Slice the vanilla bean in half. Use the back of your knife to scrape the seeds out. Add the vanilla bean, honey, and water to a saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 15 minutes, it will get thick and syrupy. Let the syrup cool and strain out the vanilla bean with a cheese cloth (or coffee filter). Chop rosemary and thyme. Sprinkle herbs over ricotta. Drizzle honey over ricotta. Toast some bread. Serve and spread the cheese over the bread.
