This came from a Cajun Cookbook that my friend had loaned to me. The prep. time does not include soaking the beans overnight.

I topped my soup with a dollop of sour cream. It was the perfect finishing touch.

I couldn't find any red beans, so I used black beans instead. The soup still turned out great.

This red bean soup is delicious and easy to make. I used canned beans, so it was even quicker. I added a little bit of cayenne pepper to give it a bit of a kick. My family loved it!
