This is a cross between a soup and a stew, and is the perfect supper for midwinter warm-ups. Serve it with a salad or coleslaw and warm rolls with butter.

This soup was delicious! I made it for my family and they all loved it. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. I will definitely be making this soup again.

This soup was okay. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything special either. I probably won't make it again.

I love this soup! It's so easy to make and always a hit with my family. I usually add a little extra beef broth and vegetables, and sometimes I even add some cooked rice. It's a great way to use up leftover beef.

Not a fan of this soup. The barley was too chewy and the vegetables were mushy. I won't be making this soup again.

This soup was a bit bland for my taste. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to make it flavorful. Otherwise, it was a good soup.

I made this soup last night and it was delicious! I used leftover pot roast instead of beef stew meat and it turned out great. The soup was very hearty and filling, and the vegetables were very flavorful. I would definitely recommend this recipe.
