Steps:
- 1. Combine together sugar, water, corn syrup and vinegar. Stir over heat until sugar dissolves. Cover. Bring to a boil for 3 minutes. Uncover insert candy thermometer. 260 or the hard ball stage. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and food coloring (optional). Pour over popcorn and form into balls.
