Peanut Butter, Honey & Pear Open-Faced Sandwiches image

I work a 12-hour night shift at a hospital, and when I come home in the morning, I don't want to cook a big breakfast. I love these sandwiches because they're versatile; sometimes I use apples instead of pears and different cheeses, such as Brie or grated Parmesan. -L.J.Washington, Carpinteria, California

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my sandwiches didn't turn out as good as I expected. The bread was too dry and the filling was too runny.

I'm not a huge fan of peanut butter and honey, but I actually really enjoyed these sandwiches. The pears added a nice sweetness and the bread was perfectly toasted.

I found this recipe to be a bit bland. I think it could have used some more spices or herbs.
