Pat in the Pan Pie Crust image

This is an easy way to make pie crust. The crust is flaky. I can make in a pinch from ingredients that I have on hand. No need for all that rolling. Just pat in the pan.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/2 c oil
2 Tbsp milk

Steps:

  • 1. Measure dry ingredients into pie pan and stir together.
  • 2. In a measuring cup, mix the oil and the milk together.
  • 3. While stirring, slowly add milk mixture. Mix with a fork until a good dough forms. Pat with your hands to fit the pan. If preparing a pie that requires a baked shell, bake crust at 350 for about ten minutes. If not, fill unbaked shell with filling and bake according to recipe.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but this pie crust recipe didn't turn out well for me. The crust was too thick and doughy, and it didn't have a lot of flavor. I wouldn't recommend this recipe to anyone.

This pie crust recipe is just okay. It's not bad, but it's not great either. The crust is a little dry and crumbly, but it's still edible. I probably wouldn't make this recipe again.
