old settler's baked beans image

great for potlucks!

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb diced bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
1/3 c packed brown sugar
1/4 c ketchup
1/4 c bbq sauce
1 Tbsp prepared mustard
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 16 oz can of pork and beans, undrained
1 16 oz can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 16 oz can great northern beans, rinsed and drained

Steps:

  • 1. in a large skillet, brown beef, saute onion, and add diced cooked bacon
  • 2. combine all remaining ingredients except beans, add to meat mixture: mix well. stir in beans
  • 3. place in crock pot 4-6 hours on low, or you can bake in a 2 1/2 qt casserole dish in the oven at 350 for 1 hr or until heated through
