Nutty O's image

You can make this with plain cheerios or honey nut. My mom wants to try making it with chocolate cheerios.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 c packed brown sugar
1 c corn syrup
1/2 c butter
12 c honey nut cheerios
2 c pecan halves
1 c whole almonds

Steps:

  • 1. In a large saucepan, heat brown sugar, syrup and butter until sugar disolves.
  • 2. Stir in cereal and nuts and mix well.
  • 3. Spread into a greased 15x10x1 inch pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and stir to loosen from the pan.
  • 4. Cool completely and store in an airtight container.
