Categories     Candy     Nut

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
3 tablespoons water
1 to 1 1/2 cups nutmeats
1/4 lb melt semisweet chocolate

Steps:

  • Sliver large, sense nuts like almonds and brazil nuts. Others can be left whole. You may add them at once to the mixture if you like a roasted quality in a nut. If not spread them on a buttered slab or pan and pour the syrup over them after cooking. Heat in a large heavy skillet, the sugar, butter and water. Cook rapidly and stir constantly about 10 minutes or until the mixture reaches the hard-crack stage 300 degrees. Add the nutmeats. Turn the candy quickly onto the buttered slab. Form into a shape about 1 foot square. When almost cool, brush with the chocolate. Before the chocolate hardens, dust with 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts. Break into pieces when cold

This is my go-to recipe for nut crunch. It's always a hit with my friends and family.

This recipe is a bit too sweet for my taste. I would recommend using less sugar, or omitting it altogether.

I'm not a huge fan of nuts, but I loved this recipe! The combination of nuts, oats, and chocolate is perfect.

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover nuts. I had some walnuts and pecans that I needed to use up, and this recipe was the perfect solution.

I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great! The nut crunch was crispy and the chocolate chips were melted and gooey. I will definitely be making this again.

This recipe was a disappointment. The nut crunch was too hard and the chocolate chips didn't melt properly.

I've made this recipe several times and it's always a hit. I like to add a little bit of dried fruit, such as raisins or cranberries, for a bit of extra sweetness.

This recipe is a keeper! I made it for a party last weekend and it was a huge hit. The combination of nuts, oats, and chocolate is irresistible, and the crunchy texture is perfect. I will definitely be making this again soon.
