No Peek Mystery Stew image

This is a recipe you can use while you are doing other things, throw in rice cook for 20 minutes, and another vegetable like brussel sprouts are a vegetable of your choice that only requires a few minutes to cook, in the last 20 minutes while your mystery stew is almost done. Your family will love this ............and so will...

Number Of Ingredients 5

2lbs beef tips
1 pkg lipton onion soup mix
1 c gingerale
1 can(s) 10 3/4 oz can of cream of mushroom soup
1 jar(s) 4 1/2oz jar sliced mushrooms, drained

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Mix all ingredients in pan with a tight fitting lid, such as a heavy dutch oven. Cover food with foil before covering with lid. Bake for 3 hours. DO NOT LIFT LID WHILE COOKING. Serve over rice or buttered noodles. NOTE: the theory for the gingerale is that the carbonation tenderizes the beef while the sweet spicy taste adds depth to the flavor. Enjoy! the only thing to cook is your rice, and you can add another side vegetable of your choice with only 20 minutes to prepare, your meal is complete! Nice for the fall and winter months.
