Mexican Swiss Steak image

Sue told me about this; she baked in oven but you can use crock pot. If you used the real steak instead of hamburger this is cooked low and slow in oven. She served over rice with corn bread.

2 lbs hamburger
1 green pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 cup salsa
10 3/4 ounces cream of mushroom soup

Steps:

  • Form patties from hamburger.
  • Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle top with green pepper and onion.
  • Mix salsa and cream of mushroom soup.
  • Pour over meat.
  • Cover with foil.
  • Bake for 2 hours at 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
