Muffins are my favorite breakfast food. I am always trying to come up with ways to make them somewhat healthier. My grandkids love these.....and so do I.

Steps:
- 1. Coarsley crush cereal. Soak in hot water, buttermilk, canola oil for 5 minutes. Add beaten egg. Add both sugars. Add mashed banana. Stir till well blended.
- 2. Mix flour,baking soda, and salt together. Add to cereal mixture, stir well. Stir in cranberries or choice of fruit.
- 3. Bake in greased muffin tins at 350 degrees for 19 minutes. Makes 12-14 muffins.
