Meat Loaf Au Gratin (Weber) Recipe - (3.1/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 10

2 lbs ground beef
1 egg
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
1 small onion, chopped
3 slices soft bread crumbs
1 tbl worchestershire sauce
1 tbl prepared mustard
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)

Steps:

  • (from grill cookbook; use indirect method) Mix ground beef with 3/4 cup cheese, egg, bread crumbs, onion and seasonsings. Mold into round loaf by placing meat mixture into a lightly oiled round mixing bowl. Turn bowl upside down into a shallow pan, lift off bowl. position pan in center of cooking grill, cook for 55 minutes. Pour off drippings. Pour tomato sauce over loaf; sprinkle top with remaining cheese and cook an additional 25 minutes.
